Please note: this is a Micro-USB cable. It is not compatible with the PS5 DualSense controller or the Xbox Series X|S and Elite Series 2 controllers, which use USB-C, nor with the PS3 DualShock 3, which uses Mini-USB.
Not sure this is the right cable? This is a Micro-USB lead for PS4 DualShock 4 and Xbox One controllers. A PS3 DualShock 3 controller uses Mini-USB — for that you need the PS3 Mini-USB charging cable (also available in 3 metres). It is not compatible with PS5 DualSense or Xbox Series X/S controllers, which use USB-C.

It is fully wired across all pins, so it works as a data cable as well as a charge lead — controller pairing and updates over USB, and phone or tablet file transfer, all work.
