Check compatibility
Compatible with genuine Sony and third-party controllers
The male connector plugs into the console's controller port and your controller plugs into the female socket on the other end. It works with both genuine Sony DualShock controllers and third-party controllers, and is also compatible with any accessory that uses the controller port, such as dance mats and fishing controllers. If you need even more distance, you can daisy-chain multiple extension cables together.

Not sure this is the right extension cable? This extends a PS1, PSone, PS2 or PS2 Slim controller by 180cm, and also suits port accessories such as dance mats and light guns. Several can be daisy-chained. It does not fit PS3 or later, whose controllers are wireless or USB. For a Nintendo pad see the N64 extension or the GameCube extension.
