One end plugs into the AV Multi Out port on the back of your console, while the other splits into three colour-coded RCA connectors — yellow for composite video, and red and white for stereo audio.
At 1.8 metres long, the shielded cable provides plenty of reach with no adaptors or converters required.
Sony used the same proprietary AV Multi Out connector across three generations of PlayStation, so this single cable works with every model — the original PS1, the compact PSOne, the PS2 (both fat and slim), and the PS3 (fat, slim, and super slim). The PS2 also doubles as a DVD player, and this is the same cable you need for movie playback.
Not sure this is the right AV cable? This composite cable fits the PS1, PSone, PS2, PS2 Slim, PS3, PS3 Slim and PS3 Super Slim — they all share Sony's AV Multi Out port. For a noticeably sharper picture on the same consoles, the component (YPbPr) cable carries video across three channels instead of one — up to 480p on PS2 and 1080p on PS3.
